Loving juniors, showing politeness to visitors, not disturbing others,etc. are common good manners. A man with good manners thinks of feelings of others. He will not say or do things that hurt others people. Good manners can be learnt through association or training. If we keep the company of good persons, We can good manners. parents and teachers can teach us good manners.Good manners should be learnt in childhood. If we learn good manners at an early age,they will remain with us through Life.

The Crow and the Pitcher

A thirty crow was looking for Water. It found a pitcher with a little water. The crow thrust its bill into the pitcher. But it could not reach the water because it was too for down. it tried to break and and overturn the pitcher with its beak but could not The crow Saw some pebbles remaining near he pitcher. It hit Upon a plan o reach the water. It picked up some pebbles one by one and dropped hem into the pitcher. The water in the pitcher rose high, and the crow could reach it. The crow Was very glad. It drank some water and satisfied.

The Foolish Goats


Once two goats met in the middle of a narrow bridge.They were coming from opposite directions.There was room for only one goat to pass through .If one goat got back, they could cross the bridge. One goat said to the other, "You go back and let me pass."The other said, "No,you go back and let me pass first." Neither of them was ready to go back. They became angry with each other and began to quarrel. From words they came to blows. They butted and pushed each other. In the end , both of them fell into the stream below and were drowned.

A Crow stole a piece of bread and flew to a tree. A hungry fox saw the bird. He wanted to get the bread from the crow. He thought of a trick. He went beneath the tree and began to flatter the crow. He said to the crow, "What a beautiful bird you are! Your feathers are so fine . I think your voice is as your feathers.I want to hear you sing.Please sing me a song."The foolish crow was highly pleased to hear its praises. It opened its mouth to sing. The piece of bread fell to the ground. The cunning fox picked it up and ran off.

A hungry dog was wandering in search of food. He found a bone. He put it in his mouth and was going home. On the way, he had to cross a plank across a stream. He began to cross the plank. He looked down into the stream and saw his own reflection on the water. He thought it was another dog with a bone in his mouth. The greedy dog wanted to snatch the bone from the other dog. For this purpose, he opened his mouth. But the bone he was carrying fell into the stream. The greedy dog lost even what he had.
